Every year, the Office of the Auditor General publishes detailed reports on how public resources were managed across Local Authorities, Parastatal Bodies, and the Accounts of the Republic. These reports are long, technical, and often go unread by the public they are meant to serve.

Auditor General Explained is a public education series from The Zambian Economist that translates these findings into plain language, building on the OAG’s published reports and simplified public versions, so every citizen can see how public money is managed, where the risks are, and what still needs fixing.
