Nalolo Member of Parliament Imanga Wamunyima Jr has announced that he has taken the oath of office for a second term, thanking the people of the constituency for entrusting him with their representation once again.
In a statement marking the occasion on 8 September, Wamunyima described his return to office as an honour accepted with humility and gratitude.
“To be entrusted with the responsibility of serving our people for a second time is an immense honour, one that we accept with the deepest humility and gratitude.”
A renewed pledge to Nalolo
Wamunyima said he remained committed to serving with integrity, diligence and a steadfast dedication to the people of Nalolo. His message placed the emphasis on the obligation that comes with holding office.
“The journey continues. The responsibility remains. The honour is ours,” he said.
The announcement follows his return to Parliament in the August election. Lusaka Times reported on 17 August that Wamunyima retained Nalolo on the UPND ticket, polling 10,420 votes against independent candidate Namakando Mashekwa’s 10,067. The result gave him a margin of 353 votes.
